Sorry...

Sorry I haven't been posting like I should. I have been spending WAY too much time in Second Life. My character's evolved, and had gotten a nefarious reputation in the short while he's been there. I urge you strongly to check this place out. In the meantime. real life continues on.

Second Life..

I was watching the news this morning and they were talking about a website, Second Life. Basically what it is is a online virtual world. You can create your avatar, interact with the other users, almost anything that you can do in the real world. Hell you can even fly. From what I've seen, you can pretty much do whatever you want to do. Even some things that in real life would have some consequences are open game, I suppose. I'm including the link, it's a free basic membership. I had my name there up here, but I figure by now, if you've been there, you already know who I am. Hope to run into a few of you there. Introduce yourself if we run into each other. Have fun.

A poem I found...

I found this poem on fellow blogger PsiMojo's blog. I liked it a lot, and thought you people would like to check it out. Here's the link:

The Fair

I've just spent an enjoyable afternoon at the last of the season county fair in Illinois, The Sandwich Fair. I went with my mom and my brother, Chris. I ate too much junk, got too much sun, walked too much, but it was a gorgeous late summer afternoon here in Northern Illinois. And surprisingly, I didn't bump into ANYONE I know, which has never happened, I don't believe. And it's a first in the fact that this is the first time since 1993 that I didn't go with Lori. While on the surface that may seem depressing, at least to the outsider, I think that it's some progress on my part. And as Forrest Gump would say "and that's all I have to say about that"!

Just some stuff...

I just tried to do an audio post, but had to delete it, because it sounded like the Borg from Star Trek. I don't know what the deal is, but I guess I'll just type this out instead. Maybe that's what I get for being lazy this morning.

Been a good weekend so far. Haven't really done too much. Left work early Friday. We weren't busy and I felt no need to sit around there being bored when I could come home and at least jave something to do. Got some photos printed, and put into frames, watched a movie, etc. I helped a friend with their computer, which was running slow. I've come to the realization that there are people, that while they talk a good game about knowing things about computers, when push comes to shove, they know very little. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with this friend, walking them through various things. It's hard to do stuff like that on the phone, but I think we got things moving in the right direction, anyway.

I'm going to go for a ride this morning before there's a lot of traffic. I like going on Sunday morning. It's quiet and peaceful. As Sunday morning should be. Not a lot of traffic and time to suck in all the sights and sounds.

That's about it for now. Hope everyone is having a good Labor Day weekend!!!
